Veterans Memorial Park features an array of events throughout the year including the Annual Fiddlers Convention held the 1st full weekend in June, The Fiddlers Convention during Labor Day and The Surry County Fair held the 3rd weekend in September. Also each year Veterans Memorial Park features the Annual Granite City Rod Run during the weekend of the Autumn Leaves Festival and the newest event Bikestock held in August.

Veterans Memorial Park has a large amount of space to bring your company outing or picnic, family reunion, camping and festivals. The park is located next to the Greenway which is great for walking.

The park features tons of room for Camping Sites which would be ideal for a large Camping group or a small group of people just interested in setting up a tent and camping. Onsite Camping is $5.00 a night.

There are 34 Camper hook-up sites for $20.00 A night.
