J.E.B. Stuart Historical Birthplace

Once the stomping ground of Confederate General J.E.B. Stuart, the birthplace of the Civil War general is located six miles away from Mount Airy in Ararat, Va. The property was the site of the house where Confederate Major General James Ewell Brown Stuart was born on February 6, 1833. J.E.B. Laurel Hill is open dawn to dusk for self-guided tours of the property.
