Self-guided audio tours of the Old-Time Music Heritage Hall are available where artifacts and portraits of Surry County’s old-time music icons reside. Additionally, the theater movie screen continuously plays the UNC-TV Folkways documentary. “Folkways: Music of Surry County,” on a loop, which reveals why the intense, bluesy, fiddle-driven music of Surry County has become known from around the world.
The old-time exhibits are open daily, Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m (Merry-Go-Round)., and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Admission is $8 per person.
