Just on the outskirts of downtown Mount Airy is Riverside Park, a recreation facility with a soccer field, skateboarding plaza, playground, picnic shelters, restrooms, and basketball courts.
It also has a greenway for hiking and biking along with a canoe launch for river activities in the Ararat River. The park is also the upstream boundary of the newest stretch of delayed-harvest trout water.
Park hours are dawn to dusk.
