In total, there are 8 trails totaling 16 miles that wait at Stone Mountain State Park. It’s not hard to miss the 600-foot, 25-mile square igneous dome that rises 2,305 feet above the forest floor at Stone Mountain State Park.
In addition to trails that cross Stone Mountain itself, others wind throughout the park, past scenic rivers, waterfalls, and up the Blue Ridge to make a connection with the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Devil's Garden overlook. Park activities include camping, educational programs, exhibits, fly fishing, picnicking, rock climbing, hiking, and horseback riding.
There are two loop roads with 88 sites for tent campers and recreational vehicles. Some sites have water and electric hookups along with a dump station for RVs.
