With the New Year comes a new venture at Memories on Main Antiques and Collectibles with arts and crafts classes in Downtown Mount Airy. They are launching a new arts & crafts initiative - 220 Downstairs Studio has been opened in the basement of their store, and they will be offering classes throughout the year. Upcoming classes already on the schedule include Porcelain Painting with Scott Mauldin, Furniture Refinishing & Restoration with Jim Mauldin, Indoor Barn Quilting with Jessica Bolick, Crocheting for Adults & Children with Tiffany Hipsley, Leatherwork with Rossi George, Retouching Vintage Photographs (computer class) with Jeff Moore, and Working with 35mm Cameras with Cal Besore. Other classes coming up in the near future include the fiber art of tatting (lace making), chair caning, reverse painting on glass, tool sharpening, plus many more!
