Posted on: July 10th, 2015 by 89and52 No Comments

Bee’s Bed and Breakfast is located in a historic Victorian home within walking distance of Downtown Mount Airy and the Mayberry attractions. Breakfast is included.
Circa 1880’s home with two rooms available; one room has adjoining room with twin beds for extra fee. Contact host for more information.
About the hosts:
“My husband, Charles, and I seem to be of the “Earthmother” variety. We have raised 3 boys, and survived. We bought an old Victorian house in downtown “Mayberry”. We very much enjoyed renovating and bringing this 1887 house back to life. We enjoy kayaking, biking & hiking along with getting together with the boys at our river property. Charles works in physical therapy and I have had a catering business for 15 years. We both love animals and have dogs and cats. (cats are outside). We also raise bees, hence the name, “Bee’s B&B.” We love to entertain and meet new people. We often spend evenings on the deck listening to bands that play at the local amphitheater, which luckily is right up the street.
We are happy to entertain guests, however, we are just as happy to make ourselves scarce if you prefer your privacy. Breakfast will be provided if you wish!”

Posted on: July 5th, 2013 by 89and52 No Comments

Cousin Emma’s Bed and Breakfast in Mount Airy (Mayberry) North Carolina is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, residence in town.  It recently was purchased by Mount Airy native Emma Suzanne Lewis Brown, who after some forty years has returned to her roots to lovingly restore a pre-Civil War historic home right on “Main” Street.  Providing all the modern conveniences, it still retains its unique yesteryear appeal.

You will LOVE Cousin Emma’s – comfortable, convenient, clean, and overflowing with charm. Rarely is it quiet  due to the laughter and stories being told by both locals and travelers.

We are currently open all year round and are available to host a variety of small celebrations, pot lucks, local art shows, or other events. Just call ahead or stop by (even with short notice) and we can provide you with a great hometown experience.

Cousin Emma’s hosts high tea, which includes a historic house tour and some fabulous tales for only $10 per person. There is also an on-going Reiki group that meets regularly and if you are staying with us and interested in relaxing at a nearby spa, Cousin Emma’s has discount coupons available. Contact us for more information and reservations.
